A multi-op team has set November, prior to Thanksgiving, of this year for a rescheduled DXpedition to Banaba Island. Activity is expected on 1.8 through 28 MHz on SSB, CW and RTTY. The T33A license has been « approved by the government » and the team has obtained landing permission. They have « booked a larger boat » for the short
passage from Tarawa to the Banaba Island (aka Ocean Island).
Elecraft will be supplying six radios and amplifiers. The team is currently looking for two-to-three more ops to complete the crew. You can email t33-ops@t33a.com for more details. More details about the trip have been posted on the 50 MHz reflector (http://mailman.qth.net/pipermail/50mhz/2013-March/004785.html)
including expected operational dates of November 6-17. It looks like the team is open to a six meter op. T33A will eventually have a Website with more details at www.t33a.com.
